One of the best-known ISFJs the world has ever known has died. Queen Elizabeth was 96 years old and died peacefully on 8th September at her summer home in Balmoral.

She was crowned in 1952 and served for an extraordinary 70 years as the head of the British monarchy, making her the nation's longest-ever serving monarch.

Her reign saw plenty of dramatic changes as the United Kingdom relinquished the remainder of its vast empire, most notably across Africa where nations emerged in the 1960s.

Queen Elizabeth was said to be an ISFJ, which, somewhat poetically in this case, is known as the Defender, the Protector, or the Nurturer.

As an ISFJ she shied away from giving interviews wherever she could and attempted to keep her and her family’s private life out of the public eye.

Like many ISFJs, she had well-developed people skills and strong social relationships which meant that she was able to connect with individuals on a deep and personal level.

As with other defender personality types, Queen Elizabeth came with humility, understated diligence, and loyalty that many have been speaking of since her death.

ISFJs are known to follow tradition and the Queen was no different, but also she was never one to shy away from change once concrete evidence and superior methods had emerged.

HM Queen Elizabeth will always be known as a Defender - a personality trait that gets the job done with unquestionable loyalty. For 70 years, it was she that Britain turned to in time of need.
